I am Shep H Shepard, master showman, producer, programmer and performer with over 30 years of experience. After many years working in venues, festivals events and TV in 28 countries around the world, four separate seasons in the Sydney Opera House and an invitation to perform at the National Theatre in London, I now specialise in programs for children.
I discovered circus while studying for my BA at Federation University in Ballarat. Starting in a three man circus troupe called Circus in a Suitcase that performed at hundreds of schools, agricultural shows and festivals throughout Victoria, I then launched my solo street performer career, successfully touring all over the world.
In 2000 I created The Happy Sideshow, Australia’s first post-modern sideshow, performing in large stadiums, and in festivals and theatres throughout Europe. A second sideshow act, The League of Sideshow Superstars, performed at every major Royal Show in the country and most major festivals, and The Dark Party, a masterpiece of gothic poetry, toured the world headlining major outdoor arts festivals in France, Spain and Portugal.
I now specialise in creating engaging, exciting works for young audiences utilising the character Dr Hubble, a man who really loves bubbles. Dr Hubble’s Bubbles performs at hundreds of preschools, schools, vacation care programs and major festivals across Australia
